Scott Tusa: Radical Happiness, Swipe Left
Saturdays (4): June 20 & 27, July 4 & 11: 10:30 am - 12:30 pm MDT
6/20: Live a Meaningful Life6/27: Cultivate Universal Citizenship & Community7/4: Find Strength in Adversity7/11: Take the Leap from Separation to InterbeingLearn how to transform obstacles and adversity into the path of awakening through recognizing that happiness and suffering depend on the mind. Rather than blaming our misfortune on external circumstances, learn to develop flexibility within life’s challenges, see the deep interconnection with all beings, and develop a more open and compassionate heart towards yourself and others. This four-week course combines experiential learning and meditation via weekly teachings, discussions, suggested readings and practices based on Lojong (mind training) teachings popularized in Tibet through Buddhist masters Atisha, Dipamkara, and Langri Tangpa, as well as modern Buddhist teachers such as His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Pema Chodron. (Discovering Buddhism Series, Module 11)
Scott Tusa is a Buddhist teacher based in Brooklyn. Ordained by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Scott spent nine years as a Buddhist monk — much of that time engaged in solitary meditation retreat and study in the USA, India, and Nepal. He teaches meditation and Buddhist philosophy online, in workshops around the world, and in one-to-one mentoring via zoom. scotttusa.com
